Itinerary

Day 1 :
DAY 1: SANDALWOOD BOUTIQUE HOTEL, Harare
Meet & Greet by your guide at Harare International Airport who will have a brief safari brief before driving you to Sandalwood Boutique Hotel. Depending on your arrival flight time, your guide will take you on a brief Harare City Tour with sundowners at the Kopje overlooking Zimbabwe's Capital City, Harare city centre, returning to the hotel for dinner and a well-deserved rest. Day 2 :
TROUTBECK RESORT, Nyanga National Park
Depart Harare for the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe passing through a few cities along the way. The drive takes you to Troutbeck Resort. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon siesta enjoying the beautiful views from the lodge before you depart on a scenic drive up the mountain to World's View for sundowners. Included All meals Worlds View Sundowner Tour Troutbeck Resort is situated at the foot of ancient pine-treed hills and overlooks a trout-filled lake. The hotel was built and founded by Major Herbert MacIlwaine in 1947 and has undergone considerable changes over the years. However, the famous log fire has never been put out since it was lit at the hotel’s opening. The hotel is 6500 feet (2200m) above sea level, and the surrounding mountains climb to 8508 feet (2593m) above sea level. This inviting hotel is perfectly positioned to explore the scenic and tranquil beauty of Nyanga and to savour the crisp mountain air. Day 3 :
ABERFOYLE LODGE, Honde Valley
Go on an early morning drive to Nyanga National Park where you visit the ancient pit structures, nyangombe waterfalls and trout fish farms. From Nyanga drive through beautiful Honde Valley and the Eastern Highlands Tea plantations arriving at what has to be one of the best-kept secrets in the Zimbabwe! Aberfoyle Lodge is situated in a very special part of the country. Nestled amongst rolling tea-plantations, rivers, mountains and lovely riparian forest Aberfoyle offers a getaway not to be missed. Day 4 :

Full day of activities at Aberfoyle Lodge. Aberfoyle Lodge is encircled by rolling tea plantations, rivers, mountains, and untouched riparian forests, rendering it an exceptional retreat. From the main lodge, guests can enjoy views of our iconic 9-hole golf course with a variety of activities, including self-guided walks, riverside picnics, and a zipline tour through the treetops over the river. Day 5 :
LODGE AT THE ANCIENT CITY, Great Zimbabwe, Masvingo
Depart Honde Valley and drive to the south eastern part of Zimbabwe arriving at Great Zimbabwe early afternoon in time for a late lunch. Great Zimbabwe is an extensive stone ruin of an African Iron Age city about 19 miles (30 km) southeast of Masvingo. The central area of ruins extends about 200 acres (80 hectares) and is the largest of more than 150 major stone ruins found in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The Lodge integrates seamlessly with the surrounding trees and boulders of the site with dry stonewalling and soaring thatch structures. Mealtimes may vary depending on the game drives and the season but usually are a set time. Day 6 :
LODGE AT THE ANCIENT CITY, Great Zimbabwe, Masvingo
Full day of activities in and around Great Zimbabwe including a visit to the bushman cave rock paintings, a game drive and a visit to one of the traditional villages. If you did not tour the Great Zimbabwe Monuments the precious day then this will also be included on this day.
Day 7 :
MATOBO HILLS LODGE, Matobo National Park
From the medieval ancient city of Great Zimbabwe, drive southwest to the oldest national park in Zimbabwe, Matobo National Park. Also known as Matopos National Park, this UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the southwestern part of Zimbabwe, just 35 kilometres south of Bulawayo is well known for its dramatic granite rock formations, rich cultural heritage, and abundant wildlife making it one of Zimbabwe’s most unique and fascinating destinations. IVORY LODGE, Hwange National Park
It just gets better!. Exit Matobo's National Park and drive north to Zimbabwe's Largest Natural Game Reserve, Hwange National Park. Nestled near the Kalahari desert, this ecological hotspot teems with wildlife and an abundance of nature was founded in 1928, with rich flora like Zambezi Teak and Kalahari Bauhinia, the national park has mostly desert conducive xerophile vegetation. Home to 400 birds and 100 mammalian species, the park offers spectacular sightings of African wildlife. With zebras and giraffes grazing near the grasslands, the park premises are dominated by mighty lions and elephant herds, leopards and many other animals. Avifauna like Dickinson’s Kestrel and Racket-tailed roller are commonly spotted here. Divided into multiple camps and areas with the purpose of facilitating wildlife sightings without interference, the park is one of the finest in the country. Ivory Lodge is built in the treetops of giant teak forests – diverse habitats attract a variety of wildlife and birdlife. This camp offers personal attention to a maximum of 20 guests in 7 standard treehouses, of which one is a family unit, and 2 tented suites. The elevated en-suite rooms are positioned with sweeping views of the waterhole that is floodlit by night.
