The Royal Zambezi offers accommodation in ten classic rooms and four deluxe suites, each built on two levels into the banks of the Zambezi River: the water front and the upper level. The classic rooms are ‘safari style’ tented rooms under a thatched canopy with large mesh windows creating a sense of space. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and private deck area. The four suites offer a little more privacy and space with a private plunge pool, private lounge and Victorian style bathtub.
The open plan reception area, dining room and lounge have classic architectural lines and lofty thatched roofs. An elegant copper-roofed veranda provides an informal space for al fresco dining, board games, or having tea in the afternoon. Wide timber decks extend over the river shallows, perfect for fine dining under clear starry skies, or sitting around the campfire and listening to the sounds of the African night.
The lodge offers game drives and night drives, canoeing trips on the Zambezi and smaller channels as well as boating and fishing trips.
