Itinerary

• Meet & Greet on arrival including safari brief and handover of
itinerary and necessary documents
• Private transfer from airport to Latitude 15 & Overnight

Latitude 15 is situated in Lusaka, near the National Assembly of Zambia.
The hotel offers 18 air conditioned en suite rooms. The spacious rooms all have the necessary amenities and the friendly staff will make sure guests have a comfortable stay. The main area includes a restaurant and bar, with a lounge area. Guests can also relax by the lovely outdoor pool area. This small, personal hotel is decorated in crisp white and cool tones with hints of vibrant colours, and the attention to detail are admirable. Area attractions include the Lusaka National Museum and the Freedom Statue.

• Private road transfer back to the airport for your scheduled flight out to THE Kafue National Park.
• On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your lodge guide who will transfer you to camp. This is a game drive in its own right and chances of animal sightings are very high signifying the start of your wildlife experience.
• Spend the next 3 nights in this area going on various activities.

Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp is situated in the remote southern section of the Kafue National Park, on the edge of a large Dambo (seasonal floodplain) amongst Jackelberry and Sausage trees.

The camp has a large thatched lounge and dining area on an elevated teak deck. It has 4 chalets and 2 meru tents which are all spacious and en-suite with hot and cold running water. Room amenities include private bathrooms with hot showers, coffee/tea making facilities, mosquito nets, sofa/lounge chairs and writing desk.

Activities include game drives conducted early morning and late afternoon, night drives and guided walks. Birding walks and visits to Lake Itezhi-Tezi and a cultural visit to Shezongo village can be organised by special arrangement.

• Drive back to the airstrip on the 29th and take a scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport, which is the gateway into the South Luangwa National
• Meet & greet by lodge guide from Luangwa River Camp before your take a game drive/transfer to the Camp

Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa.

This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp. The subtly decorated bush suites with brick walls and thatch roof each have ensuite bathrooms with bathtubs (some are sunken) looking out onto your own private corner of Africa. Both the bedroom and bathroom are fronted with large sliding doors leading onto a decked area allowing a lovely breeze into the room and great views onto the river.

The main area stretches over various elevated decked levels amongst which a tempting double plunge pool with a waterfall linking the two is situated. Seating areas around the pool or in the shade of the open plan bar on the highest level all offer uninterrupted views across the river and into the National Park.

Luangwa River Camp offers all the creature comforts of a lodge yet retains the intimacy and privacy of a bush camp.

• Depending on the departure time from Mfuwe Airport you might have time for one last activity this morning.
• Your guide will drive you back to the airport where you take your scheduled Charter Flight to Royal Zambezi Airstrip.
• On arrival you will be met by the lodge guide who will transfer you to the lodge
• Spend the next 2 nights exploring the Lower Zambezi area

Royal Zambezi Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River. With 3km of river frontage, Royal Zambezi Lodge lies within a Game Management Area that borders the Lower Zambezi National Park.

The Royal Zambezi offers accommodation in ten classic rooms and four deluxe suites, each built on two levels into the banks of the Zambezi River: the water front and the upper level. The classic rooms are ‘safari style’ tented rooms under a thatched canopy with large mesh windows creating a sense of space. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and private deck area. The four suites offer a little more privacy and space with a private plunge pool, private lounge and Victorian style bathtub.

The open plan reception area, dining room and lounge have classic architectural lines and lofty thatched roofs. An elegant copper-roofed veranda provides an informal space for al fresco dining, board games, or having tea in the afternoon. Wide timber decks extend over the river shallows, perfect for fine dining under clear starry skies, or sitting around the campfire and listening to the sounds of the African night.

The lodge offers game drives and night drives, canoeing trips on the Zambezi and smaller channels as well as boating and fishing trips.

Royal Zambezi Lodge is open March to December.
